Data Retention Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
A marriage search means trusting us with very personal information — photos, family, religious life, the selfie that verifies who you are. Our rule is simple: information that has done its job is not kept. Below is how long each kind of information stays, and how it is removed.
What is kept, and for how long
| Information | Kept for | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Profile, photos, bio-data, family and religious details | While your account is active | You can change or remove them at any time |
| Verification selfie | While your account is active | Seen only by our team; removed with the account |
| Messages, requests, favourites, duas and proposals | While your account is active | Removed on both sides when the account is permanently deleted |
| Login OTP records | 1 day | Removed automatically |
| In-app notices | 180 days | Removed automatically |
| Notification delivery records | 30–90 days | Removed automatically |
| App usage statistics | 180 days | Removed automatically |
| Who viewed your profile | 365 days | Removed automatically |
| App error reports | 30 days (phone crash reports 90 days) | Removed automatically |
| Payments and receipts | As long as the law requires | Kept after account deletion, for accounting and legal reasons |
| Safety backups | Up to 30 days | Older backups are removed automatically |
What happens when you delete your account
- Immediately: your profile disappears from search, matches and every list; all sign-ins end; boost and guardian links pause.
- 90 days to change your mind: if you deleted by mistake, sign in within this time to restore the account. A restored profile goes back to the team for review. You can instead choose "start fresh", which permanently removes the old data straight away.
- After 90 days: everything linked to you — profile, photos, selfie, messages, requests, notices, device details — is permanently deleted. Photo files leave the server by the next day, and safety backups within at most 30 days.
- What remains: payment receipts (for legal reasons), and a record that the account was deleted. That record does not hold your email address, only an irreversible fingerprint (hash) of it.
Step-by-step: Deleting your account and data.
